Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is popularly called the Spring Festival and the festivities last for 15 days.It´s also referred to as the lunar new year because it starts with the new moon on the first day of the new year and ends with the full moon 15 days later.
According to the Chinese Zodiac, the year of 2010 is the Year of a Golden Tiger which begins on February 14th, 2010 and ends on February 2nd , 2011. The tiger is the third sign in the cycle of Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs: the rat, the ox, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the snake, the horse, the monkey, the rooster, the dog and the bear.
